That is a good shot.  The Trackmobile is usually parked on the south side near the Holiday Train flat cars and caboose.

Have they fixed the MP36 yet?  I read it had an electrical fire and software problems.

Most Trackmobiles serve as light industrial switchers and car movers.  There was a Trackmobile at the US Steel Supply warehouse where I worked in the summer of 1972 and it was moved to move empty gondolas out of the buildings and loaded gondolas into the buildings.  EJ&E served the facility with a daily job which brought in loads and removed empties and positioned the loads that needed to be moved later.

Metrolink's Trackmobile looks like an especially large model and probably works the entire facility moving both individual locomotives and coaches.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

L.A.'s Metrolink - Trackmobile at engine facility

L.A.'s Metrolink has its engine servicing facility on the site of SP's Taylor Yard, just north of downtown.  In all the times I had ridden past here, I don't recall seeing a trackmobile (see far right of picture).  Are these common even in engine servicing facilities?
