Unfortunately. Wonder if they tried to get others invovled?

Sounds good, but not much of a bargain. The normal round trip fare from St. Louis to Chicago is $46.00. What could they possibly be doing with the other $232.00?
If they want to promote something, I suggest that for that price they throw in meals, a baseball game, a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry, a tour of the rail facilities around Union Station, and maybe a short cab ride.
I base my suggestion on the opinion that Amtrak should be able to get complimentary or near-complimentary prices from all the merchants/organizations involved.
I'm so excited about National Train Day, ill probably spend it listening to NS TRAINS , heading north and west from Atlanta, hooppee........OR IS IT WHOOPPEE....Thank You Amtrak!
