Lake Shore Limited ran about the same consist up until a few days ago. Heritage Diner replaced with Amfleet II dinette and "simplified menu", whatever that means. I expect to ride # 49 in January.

I just rode the Crescent this summer that uses Viewliner Sleepers. The consist was 2 P42DC's, a heritage baggage car, 2 Viewliner Sleepers, a heritage Diner, an Amfleet Cafe Car, and 4 Amfleet Coaches. Viewliner Sleepers are used primarily in the Northeast where clearances don't allow Superliners to be used, especially the tunnels into NYC's Penn Station, which is the north end of the Crescent's run.
I ride Amtrak.
Train I ride is configured as follows:
Engine - Baggage car - Business Class car - Cafe car - then 2 to 4 Coach cars.
If you go to www.Amtrak.com you will find descriptions of their current equipment.
