I would think Six Flags might generate some business in Gurnee, but probably not enough to get a Amtrak stop. The mall really wouldn't get much business. Unless more is built in Gurnee that could attract people to go there, I don't see it happening.

I would find it quite unlikely since Hiawatha Service already stops in Glenview, which isn't that far away.  Theme parks and outlet malls are not exactly major traffic sources for intercity traffic, note that Greyhound/Trailways doesn't stop there, either.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Has there ever been consideration given to adding a stop on the Hiawatha Service at Gurnee, Illinois?  The proxiimity of the tracks to Great America and to a lesser extent the large Outlet malls to the west would give the stop potential for a good amount of patronage.
