I have been reading with interest the latest posts regarding Cross Country trips, as my wife and I are leaving Aug 2 for ours.  I note that nobody has mentioned showers in the Superliners.  On our last trip 10 years ago they were delightful and as far as we were concerned one of the best luxuries offered.  Are they still available and do they get used or have they been left to deteriorate???Blindfold [X-)]

The showers in the Bedroom are still included, and the shower room for the Roomettes are on the lower level. The Amtrak website now has a virtual tour of the Superliner Sleeper:

I was on the Empire Builder two years ago and they had just been refurbished. Everything worked fine. Last month, I was on the Crescent and they were maintained properly, too, even though these use the Viewliners.
