schlimm "Tell us why you care about improved (mostly passenger) train service. Select all that apply." Good rail connections create jobs. Comfortable, spacious seats make trains a superior ride. Fast trains save time and money. Trains can connect far-flung families and friends. Train travel is more convenient and productive than flying. Fast trains are more efficient than driving. Trains help underprivileged communities reach more opportunities. Strong rail connections create more walkable, livable communities. Trains can improve connections between other transportation assets - like airports. Trains are energy efficient and fight climate change. By diverting trips from cars and planes, trains improve air quality. Trains are cheaper than other transportation modes. Good train service complements walking and biking. America needs to have world class transportation infrastructure to compete overseas. Rail technology is a source of high-paying manufacturing and construction jobs. Trains are fun to watch and fun to ride. Strong rail connections create business opportunities that otherwise wouldn't exist. Areas with train service have increased property values. Trains are a more efficient use of taxpayer money than other modes."
I would expect that a rail advocacy group that wants to be taken seriously would provide serious answers to choose from instead of that nonsense.
While I would agree that some choices are lame, others are quite sensible and typical. Just because you do not like some or even all of them shouldn't cause you to call them nonsense.
