The trolleys ran until 2009, I still miss them.  The U2 LRT cars are still in daily service here, though heavily rebuilt and in a different paint scheme.  At the time of your visit Corona and Clareview were the ends of the line, Corona is only a couple blocks west of Bay and was named for an old hotel that used to be nearby.  Also note that this is several years before CN closed the City Yard, so the freight tracks going into downtown are still very much in use.

1.  Looking west down Jasper Ave at the intersection with 104 St.  Right in the centre of downtown.

2.  Bay Station, named for the nearby Hudson's Bay department store (it closed in 2020).  Directly underneath Jasper Ave just east of 104 St.  Renamed Bay/Enterprise Square in 2009.  I've always liked the stainless steel design, it's like if Budd were to design an LRT station.

3.  Stadium station, looking northeast from the southwest end of the platform.

4.  Same location but looking southwest towards downtown.

5.  Clareview, looking southwest.  The single freight track beside the LRT here is the CN Vegreville Subdivision, which is still very much in use.

6.  Looking northeast as you come out of the underpass where the LRT goes under the CN mainline, just southwest of Belvedere station.

7.  One of the loops at the D.L. MacDonald maintenance yard, which is on the south side of the line between Clareview and Belvedere.

Greetings from Alberta
