Sad to note when the half-century-old equipment looks more stylish and modern than the stuff that replaces it.

Equipment from what automobile enthusiasts often call the Malaise Era, too.

The Chicago Transit Authority celebrates its 75th anniversary of beginning of operations on October 1, 2022.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I ran across an article in the SF Standard about BART service starting September 11, 1972 on the MacArthur - Fremont segment. My first ride was January 29, 1973 when service from MacArthur to Richmond was inaugurated.
