These look kind of nice inside other than what looks like limited headroom. I wonder why we do not see these in the United States over the single level trainsets? They are higher capacity it looks like.

Have they been tested for US crash worthiness? Also they might not fit Eastern lines with low clearances, and would not work with high platforms. Are they specifically EMU's.

If you're referring to the KISS trainsets, the first 2 were just delivered to Caltrain (which has a long history of bi-levels going back to the gallery cars of the SP days).
