Well considering that just this day alone the mechanics here are repairing 23 bullet holes in our trailers that made deliveries in Chicago proper just from today. Last week we had 40 holes for the week. The local grocery warehouse has Kevlar panels in all their Chicago delivery trucks. So far this year 2200 shot in Chicago. I fear for my work kids every time they have to make a delivery or pickup in that city. Are they going to come home safe. So far we have been blessed with no one injured. We've taken hits from stray rounds but no blood has been spilled yet by them.

"A 20-year-old university student died over the weekend after being struck in the neck by a stray bullet while riding on Chicago public transit.
Max Lewis was commuting home from his internship on Thursday evening when the round burst through the train’s window and entered the back of his neck. He succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Sunday morning, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
A University of Chicago student who was shot in the neck while riding a CTA Green Line train in Washington Park on the South Side Thursday has died, according to authorities and the university."
"The student, 22, was picked up by paramedics at a Green Line station in the 300 block of East 51st Street around 6 p.m., police said. He was transported in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
The bullet apparently crashed through the window of the train, and the victim was not believed to be the intended target, according to police. No one was in custody."
