Every March there is a festival of model railways at Alexandra Palace in North London. The quality of work that the Brits do is astonishing! One guy had a layout of the Putnam division of the New York Central. I used to travel around that area a lot and he sure got it right! The terrain, the buildings, everything. The tramway layouts were awesome too- there was a diorama of the area just North of King's Cross station, called Copenhagen Fields. This is the area where the movie "The Ladykillers" was set and it sure captured what you see in the film right down to the "musicians" walking to Mrs. Wilberforce's house above the tracks. Once again, I must say, they don't screw around over there.
