Example: the large growth in freight traffic over the UP West line over the last twenty  years.  Result?  overcrowded at times,  thus delays.

I don't know about other lines, but most of the delays on Southwest Service (ex-WAB) are the result of cross traffic at Belt Junction (BRC), Forest Hill (CSX) and Chicago Ridge (IHB).

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
