Methinks this is a challenge for those who want to blow things up. Not so sure I would make that claim. Ya Ya Ya you can't hurt me. Oh yeh, take this. \

Maybe shrapnel resistant, not bomb PROOF.

Bombs and explosions are mutually exclusive, a bomb doesn't necessarily mean an explosion is going to happen.  Something has to cause the bomb to explode, so you can make something explosion proof, which is what you want to do...I could throw bombs against a wall all day long if nothing triggers it, but once it's triggered you have little chance of containing the explosion(there are exceptions).  So to claim it's explosion proof is the correct thing in this case, you want to protect if from the explosion which is what causes the damage, the bomb does nothing without exploding(except maybe scare people).

Almost sounds like it's explosion-proof from the outside(since it also mentions stone throwing), that however doesn't make it explosion-proof from the inside...the more likely scenario once they realize you can't blow it up from the outside.

Will they be explosion proof in the same way that the Titanic was unsinkable?

"Automatic train operation"--now there's a comforting thought..... Of course, the "bomb-proof" train won't help the tracks or bridges; I wonder if the trains will be bulletproof, and if so, up to what calibre?

Remember, if you build a better mousetrap, along will come a more clever mouse.

That's pretty impressive. China taking its place and making its mark on the world.

"The train will be the first light rail train completely manufactured in China which will enter a market of a developed country. The train will include an improved climate system, automatic train operation and windows protected against explosions and stone throwing, according to Chinese press reports. They will be white to match the theme of Tel Aviv's White City."

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
