Meanwhile, one of the things I am proudest of is being the first to recognize how close the NJT line through North Arlington was to Giants Stadium and the "Brendan Byrnarena" complex, and start interest in a spur service from the planned Secaucus complex to 'right next to the place' (in other words, close enough not to require a shuttle-bus service).
At that time the trains would have been push-pull 'Comet 1' consists powered by U34CHs, to put this in perspective.
I believe there is still 'Meadowlands Service' to MetLife Stadium in this great age of mercenary naming rights. And it's still cheap compared to the usual parking and exodus zoo if you make the mistake of driving there without knowing the 'secret' way in.
Chicagoans routinely take the "L" to Wrigley Field and that ballpark on 35th and Shields. Metra recently opened a station at 35th Street on the Rock Island but I haven't seen any big push to attract passengers for ball games, probably because the station is convenient for Rock Island passengers but not anyone else. Riders into the city from the other lines would be better off taking the "L".
Cheer on the Bronx Bombers at Yankee Stadium by taking our frequent and convenient "Train to the Game" featuring Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Line service to Yankee games.
There are also frequent game-day shuttles operating between Grand Central and Harlem-125th Street Station and our Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station, a short walk from the stadium!
Please note there is no direct service on the Harlem Line to Yankee Stadium E-153rd St.while Harlem Line station and track improvements are under way. Frequent service to Yankee Stadium is available via a transfer at Harlem-125th Street Station for the 4-minute shuttle ride to and from Yankees-E.153rd Street Station.
As an alternative, fans can also drive to stations on the Hudson and New Haven Lines (where weekend parking is free at Metro-North-controlled parking lots) for direct service to the Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station, or use the shuttle service from Grand Central Terminal.

Comment: But no mention of No 4 Subway service, also direct.
