PATH press release that WTC station will be closed on some weekends ( 45 listed ) for repairs. Since the WTC station was rebuilt and expanded after 9-11 the statement that tunnel work will be done bcause of super storm "Sandy" is probably the main reason ? This work may give an example of the problems with the North River tubes since North river and PATH tubes were built about the same time by the PRR. The start of this work may expose hidden problems with the North river tubes and the need to close them for work sooner ?
