25+ years of service is a pretty good record.  It's fortunate that LA Metro was able to replace them before their reliability went downhill.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Guess now that Captain Marvel's done filming they can retire these cars!

The film's set in the 1990s, and the trailer has glimpses of a fight scene on the LA Metro, on these cars.

Kind of funny to see OERM collecting equipment that was brand new well into my adult years as opposed to the newest equipment made before I was born. OTOH, LATL 3165 was in service for only 15 years when the streetcar lines were abandoned.
