First M9s delivered to LIRR

Breaking News — received from a friend.

 

 “Yesterday (Sunday) we moved the first 4 (2 pairs) of M9’s from Fresh Pond to Hillside, stopping at the old Richmond Hill station for a group photo. At this point all preproduction cars (9001-9014) will get mods from Kawasaki which is leasing a track in the UCC building at Hillside. After Memorial Day the first train set of M9’s will start operating undergoing additional system testing.

  One last thing.. the side stripes maybe changed again. Look for black and silver to be added.”
