Small employers have reduced hours to under 30 hours. (over 30 hrs means having to provide health insurance). Near minimum wage workers need at least 50 or more hours to make rent. So to do that you need 2 or more jobs and to get to work you have to take that many more buses and trains per day. Commuting in and out and in and out in the same day gets old really quick.
