This story is mis-named.  The conductor, bless his friendly heart, is not the one bringing the Christmas cheer.  It's the Yale Glee Club that gets the credit and ought to get the headline.  In the Yahoo clip of this happening it mentioned that after singing at an event in Manhattan the students then sang in Grand Central (presumably the Great Hall) before boarding their MetroNorth train for the journey back to New Haven.  I would have loved to have been passing through GCT and suddenly discovered them singing Christmas songs in that space.  How gracious of these admittedly priviledged and talented students to give of their time to spread some Christmas cheer.  Here's an example of college students at their best.

Also, accolades to whomever it was at Yale or in the Glee Club that decided to take all these students on MetroNorth to get into Manhattan instead of some other way.

New York at Christmas.  Mmmmm.

It's also posted on the "Trains" news section, video and all.

Peace on Earth, please.  Those beautiful young people need a chance at life.
