Judging by the depth of the snow, I doubt that an underrunning third rail would have done any better.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

One more reason for under running rail on MNRR ?  Does MBTA have covers over their 3rd rail ?  Maybe needed on out door operations ?
