Explore transit. Oct 16th

My Ridewithmehenry crew is looking at an outing...weather and all permitting...on Wednesday, October 16th with the aim of riding the M train from Manhattan to Metropolitan Ave., back to Wycoff for the L train to Canarsie, return to Broadway Jct. and take the A train to Far Rockaway and its S train from Broad Channel to Rockaway Beach. Depending on time we can decide from there. Probably take NJT's 1074 from Lake Hopatcong at 8:42AM leaving us open for choice of 6 return trains. We can do either Hoboken or NYP or both and can decide that morning. We have to drive from Binghamton no later than 6AM and have room for at least two, perhaps three, in the car. Train fare for Seniors will be between $15 and $20, others probably $30-$40. Anybody can join us anywhere along the route, but let me know. Email me at Ridewithmehenry@hotmail.com.  Ridewithmehenry charges nothing for setting up these trips; fares are what the railroads and transit authorities charge.  We do share gas and sometimes I get my lunch and or dinner paid for.  But it is for fun for the day to explore what used to be and what was.  Join us from Binghamton or enroute anytime or place during the day...just let me know who you are and where you'' be catching up with us.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.
