Thank you, Bonas, for these magnificent wrecks.  The 57 pictures of the New York Central's Buffalo Station are impressive in themselves.   And it goes on.

Depressing, sad, and a bit spooky.  Reminds me of a line from a Johnny Cash song:  "I know a depot like a ghost beside the track..."

Buildings just seem to know when no-one wants them anymore.

The Central Railroad of New Jersey's terminal isn't as bad as the pictures suggest.  The terminal itself along with one track are restored and part of Liberty State Park.  The rest of the tracks and train sheds are going to rack and ruin.

This isn't a recent phemonenon either.  I remember waiting for a train at Gary Union Station (NYC, B&O) in 1969 and it was already quite deteriorated.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
