Caltrain is having difficulty finding enough money to operate in FY 2014. Also their rush hour trains have a crush load now as high as 130%. 39% increase since inagural of baby bullet trains. Looking for more equipment however with the pending electrification with EMUs some kind of a loco hauled EMU train until electrification may be an answer ? ? Or --- maybe a short term lease of someone's surplus commuter equipment ?
