VRE: new galley cars

These cars will definitely give VRE's operations a Chicago look.  It's also interesting that VRE ordered gallery bi-levels instead of the lozenge design used by GO Transit and other operators.

VRE already uses all gallery cars. They replaced most of their fleet with Sumitomo galleries a few years ago, and are simply trying to keep a standard fleet.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Report that VRE will receive 8 galley cars in2014 ---  will add slightly to capacity that is constrained by present limit on number of train cars stored mid-day qt Wash. 

Has optionn to buy 42 more cars later.
