Has anyone seen or ridden behind NJT's new ALP45DP...dual electric/diesel...locomoitives yet?  They are supposedly being tested in service since 10/20 and are numbered 4500-4534.

they are not in service yet, only clearance testing has started, the locomotive is being hauled around in a test consist.

Then after clearance testing competed,  non-revenue acceptance testing,  they won't haul passengers till around may/april at earliest.

The 45's will be numbered 4500-4525. There are only going to be twenty-six of them. NJT approved funding for ten additional units, but never signed the option with Bombardier.

Was down to Jersey yesterday and think we saw one out the window of the MU's as we whizzed passed MMC...not sure...

NJT Bulletin lists number 4500-34 but I do belive only 25 were ordered.
