How dose metra collect the money from conductors form fairs paid on train?

How dose Metra count the money/recites from conductors? How dose metra cont the money form on board fairs and make sure the conductors are no pocketing it?

I am not sure in the specific case of Metra, but generally if the Conductor is allowed to sell fares, he must issue a ticket, and the machine tracks the sale, and then his sales are compared to norms, looking for very low average sales compared to other Conductors. If problems are suspected, he may be tested by Undercover personnel who buy on-board tickets. If he fails these, then they will normally go for criminal prosecution rather than just dismissal. Normally anyone who handles money, especially in the form of Cash, will have to be Bonded.  Problems do happen from time to time.
