Maryland Purple Line likely to be light rail

 The Purple Line to connect outer Metro stations and points in between is likely to be light rail, the"Locally Preferred Alternative." It will run between New Carrolton and Bethesda and serve Prince George's and Montgomery counties.  This was announced August 4.

Not definite, but thank goodness it won't be bus rapid transit.  If you've ever used BRT you'll be happy to know that riders in Maryland's suburbs will not be punished.
