About a year and a half ago, when I was visiting Philly, I noticed that several trolleybus lines that ran to a transit center on the north side of town had been suspended "temporarily" because of rerouting during rehabbing of the center.
Did SEPTA ever get those trolleybus lines up and running? I know there was a little skepticism, as though SEPTA might just let the trolleybus service remain hanging (no pun intended) after the transit center's construction had ended. - a.s.

SEPTA eventually ordered a batch of new trackless trolleys from New Flyer Industries, of which the prototype arrived for testing in August 2007. The production vehicles are now (April 2008) arriving, and the first ones will begin official scheduled revenue service on 14 April 2008. There will eventually be enough to serve routes 59, 75 and 66. However, I understand that SEPTA has decided not to restore trolley service on the Southern Division routes (29 and 79).

SEPTA did indeed get the trackless trolleys up and running; routes 59, 66, and 75 are now fully trackless. There are other Philadelphia lines which were formerly trackless, and I haven't heard the last word on whether they will remain "bus-ti-fied" or go back to trackless.
Note - Philadelphia has a lot of lines which were formerly streetcars or trackless, and there are many strong opinions for or against the buses which now operate on those lines. A change in climate (political or environmental) could bring a change in service no matter how "final" the last word seemed to be.
