Nice pic
People can't drive here in the rain as it is, I can just imagine the chaos if it ever snowed here at the lower elevations.
Have fun with your trains
An arctic cold front arrived in Southern California last week, and it brought rain and snow. It actually closed the highways north of Los Angeles for about 24 hours, but the Metrolink line (ex-SP line through Soledad Canyon) remained open.
On Saturday I was able to ride Metrolink up to Palmdale. While this snow is nothing compared to what they get back east or in the Sierras, it is cool to see snow on a short train ride from L.A.
More rain is in the forecast for the L.A. basin, but I don't know if they'll get a "refresh" on the snow up here.
