How on earth can the CAF vehicle carry more than twice as many standees as the Siemens and be only four and-a-half feet longer?  Are they using Mexico City "crush loads" as the norm??? - a.s.

If I remember correctly, the Siemens job had two equipment cabinets that take up space within the passenger compartments, one near each end.   I have not seen the newer equipment, but it may be that all this equipment that was in these two equpment cabinets is roof and/or underfloor mounted in the newer cars.
