I love riding Rail Transit and BRT buses around the country...Its just that I counted the number of times that I touch something or that someone coughes, spits on the sidewalk, sneezes without covering there mouths, yells on there cell phone, leaves a wet seat after peeing there pants(older men riders tend to do this all I can do is pray that for the grace of-god there will be me) and late night someone pukes in the back of the bus or trolley. and in a 6 hour transit fan trip it is in the hundreds. Even when I pick up my senior coffee at Mcdees I have been super concuais of bathrooms and how people act. Midday for my Liquid Lunch the local Dive Bars on the bus/train have actauly been nice to me (for a tip) and have been washing there glasses and there beer lines. But the sanitary conditions at over crowded chain establishments are often ignored. I now carry whatever no-name generic vodka for 3.00 and some cotton balls and use it on everything including myself since the price of Purel has gone up. Lets face Men are among the most dirtiest animals on Earth Even Rats and Cockroaches will clean themselves fastivit after human contact..https://pestlockdown.com/are-cockroaches-disgusted-by-humans/ and https://www.peta.org/features/hidden-lives-rats-mice/

See my comment on the Passenger Forum "Over-reaction" thread.

I also try to do my best to keep myself clean, close to steril as possible.  I'm 88 but have avoided peeing in my pants, although both in Israel and once in the UK I sat down on a transit or intercity train seat and then discovered it was wet.  Hopefully from a spilled drink, but one doesn't know.

Now I try to remember to check before sitting down.

And I am unsure if taxis are that much better.

Yes. However, the under-reaction by the federal government in taking action starting 6 weeks ago is much more dangerous. A certain person did not want the cruise ship to dock because he didn't want the infected to count in the total,  which would hurt his reelection.

Amazing how we went from 0-10 in the span of like 2 days. Well, not amazing considering timing of certain events of an electoral nature.

At least we're getting people to wash their hands once in a while.  So that's something.

Amazing how many people leave public restrooms after highballing the sinks.
