If it was still on the Grande, it'd be voted the cleanest locomotiveSmile,Wink, & Grin [swg]. If you can read the name, It's no longer a Grande!

UP and CSX have some of the dirtiest fleet's for class 1's. UP inherited SP's wash policy ("We don't need no stinkin' wash racks!") when it merged with SP in 1996.

Most of their locomotive are still in its previous owners paint.I would call it not dirty,just rusty.It kind of weird finding a Rio Grande locomotive in Cleveland..

 hi again everyone, being from new south wales, australia,  (born in Orlando, FL) we have our fair share of filthy locomotives/ operators, genesee and wyoming being one and pacific national (east coast operator) the other!, anyway i was wondering if any one had any images of dirty locomotives and who would be known to be America's dirtiest railroad??? ..................thanks;Smile [:)] foamer8101
