Is there going to be a Locomotive annual issue this year? They usually came out in August.
My opinion is that Trains is more concerned with the business side of railroading. I think they've kind of left most railfans behind. I can"t imagine them doing a Morgan/Hastings type article on rare, old diesels. The last writer they had who really wrote the way that I liked was JDI.
I doubt if they will put out a Locomotive issue. Even when they have an article about a particular regional or shortline, they very seldom have a locomotive roster attached.
