Chile had SD39M-2 locomotives. Does anyone have a side view of these locomotives and what was the engine in these locomotives. Gary
They had an 645E3 12 cylinder prime mover rated at 2300 HP.

They started life as MILW SDL39's 582-590. They became WC 582-590 and were sold to Chile where they were regauged and rebuilg.
These SD39M-2 locomotives were rebuilt from GP38s and GP40s. Gary
