HOW are we gonna reproduce THAT!"

Exactly the same way they did earlier engines like the Armed Forces commemorative.

If you can't develop masks for transfer print painting, take a couple of good high-resolution pictures of the sides, straighten 'em out and scale 'em in software, and print decals off the resulting files.  Most of the work for modelmakers has in fact already been done because the complex 'murals' are, as noted, a 'wrap' job (generated and printed from computer files) and adapting this to a smaller-scale print ought to be straightforward...

For Balt: the sheer genius of this is, whatever the taggers do to other parts of the locomotive, how could you tell it wasn't part of the design?

Beautiful job by UP!  However...

I can just see the model makers at Lionel, MTH, Atlas, Athern and others going into panic mode...

"HOW are we gonna reproduce THAT?"  Crying

Just wait until the 'taggers' use the open canvas of the fuel tank area.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

I'm proud of them too!

But ... aside from the Marvel Universe comes to the rails design integrity ... darned if it doesn't look like the mother of all graffiti tags, aft of the cab.
