Very nice.

i have one question. How does one go about getting that super cool job of running a huge steam engine with a lab coat on?

Hmmmm, somebody say "Titanic?"

Somebody say "steam engine?"

Well boys, this isn't the "Titanic's" engine room, but it's as close as we'll ever get.

So prepare to be amazed.  A LOT more interesting than a GE diesel!

Thinking that 1:23 cut is a scene from the Titanic.

"This is the coolest thing ever in the world!" -- she's adorable.

I had not realized just how much bigger the journals in the crank throws were than the ones for the main bearings.  I assume these engines still have the Cooper-Bessemer-style articulated rods, too.

But what's up with that cut of the steam engine at 1:23?

Somewhat interesting...I had no idea GE was monitoring each locomotive for maintenence needs.
