The LTEX GP38-3 is probably dead in transit. Considering that the train is heading to Barstow from San Diego, I could guess that the lease on the locomotive has run out or it is being repossessed for missing too many lease payments.
The train is also known as the BNSF DAY GO, was running about 40 minutes early, and was on the NCTD CP Morena Sub. Also almost 200 views and no responses?! :(
The BJRR Locomotive is ex-LTEX and had recently just gotten a new paint job.
On Tuesday I saw Baja California RR No. 3905 and a brand new LTEX GP38-3 behind two BNSF Gevos on H-SDGBAR. Is it possible that these two units could be headed to the Ex Pacific Imperial Line in Plaster City that the Baja California RR recently acquired a 99 Year lease on? If you have any other ideas I would appreciate them. (Note: I could not tell if the units were or dead in tow.)
A bit of background info on H-SDGBAR: It is a daily mixed manifest that runs from a BNSF Yard near the Port of San Diego to Barstow. The normal power is two to five BNSF Gevos and Dash-9s to my knowledge this is the first time I have ever seen any Non-BNSF Power on H-SDGBAR.
Thanks
