I think they would be dumb if they would drop the GE brand name. They might offer passenger locomotives under the MPI brand as the already did when they competed for the PRIIA diesel-electric locomotive which Siemens won.

Also I will be curious if MPI locomotives will be built under the GE brand name or vice-versa.

I think the Union support will be key in making sure that there is a smooth sale and transfer from GE to Wabtec. As for the rail museum I am curious to see if they’re going to t to get any official status with Wabtec if locomotive production stays in Erie.
