CSX #5016 was indeed retired and sold to Progress Rail along with the others.
CSX #677 was previously wrecked, retired and cut up on site a couple years ago.
CSX 600-602 remain on CSX, are powered by 4400hp FDL prime movers and classed as CW44AC.

Leo_AmesDid the prototypes go as well? I assume they did or he'd of mentioned it, but I believe they got 7FDL16's installed just like the AC4400CW fleet has.
Went to that Facebook page. Sounds like the prototypes with FDL's now inside are still on the roster.
It sounds like they held on to the 5016 for now, which I believe was the newest unit of the class. I imagine it won't be on the roster for much longer though.

I wonder if Norfolk Southern is going to be keeping their eyes on the availability of these. CSX and GE put a lot of money into making these right, including repowering production units with 16 cylinder GEVO engines a few years ago.
That ultimately contributed to their downfall on CSX once they decided that they had no operational need for 6,000 hp units and derated them to save on fuel, leaving 4 extra cylinders to maintain compared to a ES44AC with equivalent power.
But Norfolk Southern doesn't seem shy at higher horsepower road power, judging by their plans to uprate the SD80MAC's to 5,500 hp as part of their ACU rebuilding.
CSX's AC6000CWs are reported as purged from the active roster and sold as per the CSX Locomotives FB page.
