The SW14's turned up on a lot of shortlines and industrials.  Several years ago, I remember seeing some in transit at Blue Island lettered for Ventura County Ry. and Cedar Rapids & Iowa City.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Canadian National heavily rebuilt five SW14's a decade or so ago and retained them, reclassified as SW7RM's. And last count that I saw, 2 or 3 unrebuilt stragglers were left as well.

Considering their rebuilding, I imagine both models have had a healthy survival rate with numerous members surviving on regionals and shortlines.

If you can find a source listing their disposition from Amtrak, you could account for about 2/3's of Santa Fe's fleet right there. Morristown & Erie has two former Amtrak examples on their roster, for example.
