Siemens Chargers In Sacramento

Good evening everyone!

This is my first post to these forums so please forgive me for any mistakes. I have been browsing here for several months but I saw something yesterday that I thought was worth sharing and discussing so I created an account.

I was waiting at the Sacramento Amtrak station to hop on the train to school, when I noticed a very interesting consist at the north end of the platform. It was Chargers 4601 and 4602, with P42s 17 and 184 on point.

4601

4602

17 and 184

I would have gone for more pictures, but there was an employee who was giving me funny looks so I decided not to.

If I had to guess, they had just recently come back from testing at TTCI in Colorado. Does anyone know what the next step for these guys would be? Are they going back to the plant for modification based on the results from the testing? Or are they ready for paint and shipment to the buyer?

All the best,

Matt
