CSX has one ET44AH (3251) on the property at Waycross. 24 more are in various stages of final construction at Erie and will be on the property in the near future
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
MKT_BA_OK What is the acronym ET mean on BNSF new ET44C4?

my uncle, who used to work there told me its probably environmentally tested, or the T is for tier 4.
they're trying to keep model names simple, like with EMD and the -2's.
the ES44C4
and the Et44C4
will probably do well together when pulling a train.
Thanks
Speaking clock Okay, that is pretty cool. I'm mostly EMD, but that is probably one of the best things I've ever seen GE do. about the steroids, that's something everyone's been doing since the beginning metro red line. The EMD 645 was their old 567 with a bigger bore. You can tell because the rods and injectors are interchangeable. The FDL powering GE AC4400's is a larger version of the very first cooper bessimer FDL. Why, the 0-6-0 steam engine was a 0-4-0 on steroids. but are those more powerful, or is the bulge tier 4 stuff? I'm not sure what you mean by steroids.

Unless I'm very mistaken, the bulge is Tier IV required components.
I can say for certain that the 12 cylinder engine is still rated at 4400 HP by the common North American locomotive power rating nomenclature.

You can find a bunch of them on Google Image search by searching for "ES44AC Tier 4."
It basically looks like a GEVO on steroids.
