Muncie is building F125 Tier 4 loco's, and overseas builds. Alot of Repower orders going into 2016. GE is in the same situation, testing Tier 4.

I'm told that at least one overseas order is delayed while the Tier 4  test units and demonstrators are built, expected in June according to Fred Frailey's blog. Since these are by definition domestic units, even if they may not be sold, or not sold in the short term, EMD is still building freight units for USA use.

It is clear that EMD are continuing to build for the domestic market, although they won't be able to sell the units until they are certified to Tier 4. The time it took GE to get their units certified is an indication of how long it will take.

According to Fred Frailey they expect to have locomotives for sale next year, 2016.

Did EMD meet the current smog standers for 2015 ? Trains stated that they are producing locomotive for over seas use only. Are they allowed to produce engines that were order before the current 2015 standered went in to effect for use here in the ststes?
