It's a Model 90 if anyone is curious (a model number I've never even seen until tonight to the best of my knowledge).

This unit was built as a demonstrator, and the exact model number is unknown, as it wasn't duplicated. (Sort of like the two Pre-SC units built for DL&W). The unit weighed about 90 tons when built, and so this is likely where the "model number" came from.

What kind of EMC switcher is this? There's a picture in January 1965 Trains and it doesn't look close to any EMC/EMD switcher I've ever seen. Caption identifies it as EMC's first 900 HP switcher.

Would that make it a NC1? I think that's the only model I've never seen a photograph of.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out almost immediately after posting. It's a Model 90 if anyone is curious (a model number I've never even seen until tonight to the best of my knowledge).

Wonder what happened to her.
