yellow bonnet not the same as blue bonnet not the same as freight bonnet.
I missed this thread the first time around.
Misuse of the phrase Yellowbonnet and Bluebonnet is a pet peeve.
This was the Yellow bonnet

But doesn't everything taste better with blue bonnet on it?
Sorry - couldn't resist....
Of course, I love the Frisco one and hope someday to see BNSF heritage, but not holding my breath.
I love the 9225 EMD SD70 ACe at the bottom wonder if they will paint one that would be great.
BNSF Heritage Hoppers..........................These look fantastic.

BNSF Heritage Color Schemes
Original drawing by Michael Eby. Drawings modified and painted by Frank Swafford

The NP psgr F's green Lowey scheme is pure attractive class. Gotta have it.
The Santa Fe licorice stripe scheme differed and I think was best looking when the front and rear surface of the body was striped, then black intervened back to the cab sides where a rectangle of black contained the engine number but the cab side was otherwise striped similarly to the front and rear of the engine. This suggestion is to modify the illustration of the zebra stripe schemes above in this stream.
There was also, wayback machine operates, a square painting with a sort-of powder blue back ground on which in aluminum paint border and the iconic SFe cross with Santa Fe printed on the horizontal crossbeam. Expand that and put it on the long hood end and you've got IT.
If you have more please post.
I think I have enough here.
Brian,
While your pipe-dreaming, You need tp add the yellow bonnet ATSF scheme, The last SP&S scheme, and a lot others!
BTW, BNSF has been doing 'Heritage' fret car schemes - I saw some of the 'GN' covered hoppers a while back...

The Santa Fe zebra stripes are in service as we speak. Pacific Harbor Line locomotives have been wearing those colors for several years now.
All:
For the Northern Pacific, don't forget the two tone Lowey green with a white stripe. That was their passenger F-unit color.

I would love to see the Burlington paint schemes. They are some of my favorite.
One of my favorite BNSF Heritage color schemes.........................Frisco!
The original drawing is by Michael Eby. The drawing was modified and painted by me.
Good Day,
It would be fantastic if BNSF presented a Heritage series. For me, color schemes from the past with an inventive style would be great. Here are the ES44AC's. The original drawings are by Michael Eby. The drawings were modified and painted by me. I have a few BNSF Heritage SD70ACe's too.
I also know 18 paint scheme for to be on BNSF Heritage Engines.
