I will agree with you on the GE Appliances they are a POS.  My SIL bought a New Dishwasher made by GE and get this they forgot to include the Filters for the PUMP.  10 Months later they finally figured it out that maybe it was missing the parts and that might be why it has gone thru 5 sets of Pumps for it.

Tell that to my GE Range, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer - all of which are in excess of 30 years old and working fine.

Modern day GE products may be different as they are building to minimum manufacturing expense these days rather then building products to last.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

As a person who is repairing appliances in retirememt I agree with the op. Half of my business is GE junk. The stock answer from any repairman as to which manufacturers appliance should I buy is, "anybody but GE".

Commercial aviation might be a problem for him, also look at the lightbulbs for sale at the hardware store.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Then no MRI for you I guess.

Ummmm, didn't the PA-1 say "Alco-GE" on the builders plate? Care to expand on the purpose of this thread?

Is there a purpose to it? People love to bash something they really have no experience with dont they.
