Photos of the first of the repainted SD40's for KCSM in the 'Southern Belle' paint scheme.  Not use f they have been rebuilt, or to what extent they were upgraded, but

#3008 was apparently the first repainted at the Shops in San Louis Potosi, in June 2012.

IMHO the new paint looks pretty good on the SD 40.Thumbs Up

I love the paint scheme, I just wish they would've started painting them like this about 20-25 years ago, the time period I model.

It does look good, but we've have SD32ECOs for a couple years now, so it's not "new" to me. SD32ECOs are just SD40-2s on the outside.

Make those SD22ECOs as they have the 8 cylinder engine YoHo1975. Only UP's SD59MX and CP's soon to appear SD32ECO have been ordered or built with the V12 710ECO diesel.

You are correct.

A slip of the fingers.

Apparently AmCal is upgrading their F59s, and from what I'm getting at, they're all retaining the 3000hp except for 2015, which has 3150.
