Those would be the Old SD60M's from the BN more than likely going to be sold but to which RR.  CN that has bought about all the old DC power it can for the last few Years.  UP needing Cores for the SD59M program CP for the same thing with their Huge order of them.  Time will tell.  BNSF olny orders enough EMD to keep GE honest anymore on Price.

Always at war with those that think OTR trucking is EASY.

Considering that they've been wrapped, I would assume that BNSF has them in long-term storage pending future sale.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Gift wrapped locomotives in Willmar MN

I was checking out the BNSF yard at Willmar MN today and noticed that there are about 24 locomotives (numbered 8100 series) that are wrapped in white plastic. I know they have been there for at least  two months. Does anyone know what is up with these?
