Dale,

Based on IC's history with rebuilding - any combination of thing may have happened.  The frame stamp appears to be from the frame of a SW7  The car body and cab - They may be from several other 'hulks' that were involved in the re-building program..  And the actual prime mover in the carbody may very well be a 567B, 567BC, or 567C V12 diesel.

The frame stamp number is what is used for accounting purposes and is what is typically used to track this stuff.

Based upon an earlier post (07-07-2007) it was stated that the 1203 was SW14 1499 (ICG).  According to the IC Locomotive records (Diagrams), which I have for 1955 and 1982, the history of the 1499 was previously IC 473 and originally IC 9473, which is an SW9.   Thus if that were the case then perhaps one could argue that it is an SW9RM.    So what is needed is the number of the unit that was indeed modified by RELCO.  I cannot confirm nor deny whether it is an SW7 or SW9 frame originally.   But if it is indeed the 1499 then  the frame was an SW9.

CN 1202 and 1203 were former IC SW14 1419 and 1499, upgraded by RELCO to 1500 hp, air conditioning and remote control equipment.

That is a former SW14 rebuilt yet again. The original model by the frame number was a SW7.

In a fashion similar to IC's prior Paducah switcher rebuilds into SW14's, the rebuilds are coming from a variety of models.  This rebuilding program looks superficially similar to UP SW10's.

Everything I find says SW7RM for a model on it.  Here are some pics of her also.

Recently I spotted IC #1203 at McComb, MS.  Because of its odd shape it really stands out.  There seems to be a conflict on model number.  Can anybody say whether it is an SW7RM or an SW9RM.  Inoticed earlier the 1203 had been mentioned in the TRAINS Magazine blogs but it does not mention what model it is.
