Posted by jroebuck on Friday, April 6, 2012 2:47 PM

At approximately 1500 local time 5th April, 70018 caught fire whilst working an intermodal service in Hampshire, UK.  After attention by local fire crews, assisting loco attached and worked forwad at approximately 1830.  Major disruption to passenger and other freight services.  For some pictures see http://www.ukrailpics.com/thumbnails.php?album=213

2 days previously, 70019 had failed with a split high pressure fuel line.

As of today (6th), the second batch of Freightliner's GE powerhaul locos (70013-70020) have been stopped UFN
